As trees take over a home in the Indian countryside, the buildings and monuments of the City form a living memory machine.
My Degree Film 'Turnings' is an animated journey through a wooden stop-motion city adorned with hand drawn animating paper loops. All elements of the film were hand constructed and animated. The city is made up of multiple increment-able kinetic wooden sculptures that act as buildings and monuments inspired by those in Hyderabad- the city I grew up in.
